The computing definition of Avatar is “an icon or figure representing a particular person in computer games, Internet forums, etc.” (Google definition) Avatars have been around for many years. We have incarnated ourselves in photos and now even moving digital ‘Barbie’ dolls. We get to create how we wish to present ourselves to the online community. This site is devoted to visitors from Second Life, specifically a friendly hangout called Vipera!
